Individual Psychotherapy

Individual therapy involves sessions that are one on one with the counsellor. In these sessions, the therapy is tailored to the needs of that particular client. The counsellor and client work together to achieve the goals of the client. Therapy can be short-term or longer-term depending on the client's identified needs. The client may discontinue services at any time.

Relationship therapy focuses on the relationship between two individuals. In session, both members of the relationship and the therapist work to develop an understanding of the relationship dynamics. Throughout members of the relationship work to create change in the relationship in areas such as communication, trust, and bond. Length of therapy can vary depending on issues explored. Couples who feel that they may not need counselling but recognize that they could benefit from it are encouraged to take this step as many couples feel they could have started sooner.

Victoria Cop is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a Master’s degree in Education in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa (2011). Since 2012, she has maintained a private practice working with individuals and couples in both official languages.
